HISTORY OF IN EXCHANGE

The International New Orleans Exchange (IN Exchange) was founded in 2007 with the support of the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.  IN Exchange received an initial start-up grant from the National Basketball Association and received additional funding from local New Orleans small businesses to help cover legal and administrative costs.  Since then, the business has been sustainable through in-store sales as well as private donations.  Located in the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life, IN Exchange operates as a retail fair trade store on Tulane’s uptown campus in New Orleans, Louisiana.
